Poisoned Bouquets

I see you now, my friend,
So dim against the black
The corpusculated darkness
Wrapped tight about you
A cloak against the warmth
That lies dying upon the ground

I know what she took from you
The convictions and delusions
But gather up those flies she offers
Her poisoned bouquet of bitter lies
And pile them high upon that pyre
Alongside all your dreams

I hear this rage that eats you
The maddening seduction
The convocation of bone and dust
But let them in, let them past
And never will they let you go
And with them you must wither
